At Boise Gospel Church, we embrace our calling as members of the body of Christ to serve God and others using the gifts He has entrusted to us. There are several opportunities to engage, contribute, and support the life and ministry of our church family. Read about the various teams below and sign-up if you’re interested in helping out.
WELCOME TEAM
The Welcome Team helps every person at BGC feel seen, known, and loved—whether it’s their first Sunday or their hundredth. Volunteers greet guests, answer questions, and help people find their way. This is a great role for warm, friendly faces who love making connections.
HOSPITALITY TEAM
This team sets the table—literally and spiritually. Volunteers prepare coffee for fellowship and set up the elements for our weekly observance of the Lord’s Supper. Most volunteers serve once a month and commit to either arriving early or staying after the service for setup and cleanup.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Our Children’s Ministry helps kids experience the love of Jesus. Volunteers lead children in lessons, crafts, games, and meaningful interactions that point their hearts toward Jesus. Volunteers usually serve once per month during worship and is open only to those who are current members.
MUSIC TEAM
Our Music Team leads the church in singing God’s praise! Team members help lead singing during Sunday worship and occasional special events. Members must audition and commit to arriving at least 1.5 hours early on scheduled Sundays. Church membership is also required.
TECH TEAM
The Tech Team helps facilitate worship by running the slide presentation software. You'll ensure lyrics, Scripture, and announcements are displayed clearly and on time. No technical background is required—just a willingness to learn and arrive early on Sundays.
CLEAN-UP TEAM
This behind-the-scenes role is vital to our church’s rhythm. After worship, volunteers help tidy up and ensure the bulding is clean and ready for the week ahead. Ideally, volunteers will not be scheduled more than once per month, and on those days will need to plan on staying long.
