INTRODUCTION
We are pastors in Boise and the surrounding valley who are united in friendship around a shared commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ, a historic and reformational theology, and a simple, relational, and missional exercise of discipleship ministry in our churches. Together, we confess TGC’s Confessional Statement as our theological foundation. We come from diverse backgrounds but we share a love for Christ, for His church, and for one another.
We recognize that our calling as pastors is a calling to care for souls, and that we ourselves need shepherding as we shepherd God’s people. In His kindness the Lord gives us friends who know us, encourage us, and walk with us in this holy task.
OUR VALUES
We are, as any faithful pastor is, devoted to Christ and thus to His gospel, to His church, and to His mission. We believe that articulating the following values ensures that we remain unified and aligned in our singular devotion to Christ.
-
We are committed to historic, reformational, evangelical theology—contending for the faith that we’ve received, standing firm in the ever-shifting present, and faithfully proclaiming Christ to the world.
-
We believe in a complementarian and elder-led model of church leadership. While specific structures may vary, we share the conviction that pastors are part of a team of male elders, charged with shepherding Christ’s flock. This vision allows for differences of practice, but maintains unity around the biblical call to shared spiritual headship.
-
We believe the Word of God is central to the life of the church and must be faithfully proclaimed. Expositional preaching—where the message of the text shapes the message of the sermon—is our primary commitment, so that God’s people are fed not by our ideas, but by His Word.
-
We believe discipleship is personal, relational, and shepherding in nature. Rooted in affection for Christ, it overflows in love for and among His people. Ministry is not driven by programs or productions, but by being present with people—pursuing maturity in Christ as we walk together in love and truth.
-
We strive for simplicity and singularity in ministry—keeping the unembellished and unrivaled gospel of Jesus Christ at the center of all we do. We pursue excellence, while resisting the pull toward excess or distraction, seeking instead to faithfully proclaim Christ and Him crucified.
-
We believe the gospel sends Christ’s church into the world, and that we can accomplish more together than we can alone. We seek to partner generously in evangelism, church planting, missions, training, and other opportunities to make Christ known and win more.
-
We believe in the power and security afforded by real friendship. In an often lonely calling, we seek genuine friendship and affection among fellow shepherds who pray for one another, encourage one another, share one another’s burdens, and help shepherd one another as we shepherd Christ’s church.
OUR PRACTICES
What we do follows who we are. Based on our shared role as Pastors, and our shared convictions and distinctives outlined above, we intend to do the following together:
1. Pastoral Support
We commit to strengthening one another as pastors through:
Prayer – Interceding for each other, our families, and our churches.
Friendship – Cultivating real affection and fellowship.
Pulpit Sharing – Serving one another through preaching and teaching.
Rest – Encouraging healthy rhythms that sustain long-term faithfulness.
Counsel - Providing direction regarding the many pastoral and theological issues we face.
2. Kingdom Collaboration
We want to strive together for the advance of the gospel through:
Shared Events – Equipping and encouraging churches together.
Community Outreach – Partnering in evangelism, mercy, and witness.
Church Planting & Revitalization – Supporting new and renewed works of the gospel.
OUR AIM
We desire to embrace, encourage, and sharpen our shared calling as pastors, not only for the sake of those entrusted to our care, but also for the sake of one another. We long to see healthy pastors leading healthy churches to treasure Jesus Christ above all.
OUR CHURCHES
Our network is made up of pastors serving in various roles at the following churches in Boise and the surrounding valley.
HOW TO JOIN
As a fundamentally relational company, the most natural way “in” is through relationship with one of our existing pastors. Our hope is that you will hear about our company as you get to know us, and that you’d be invited in as they get to know you.
That said, this Company is not strictly “invite-only.” We understand that sometimes you just need a point of contact, or a form:
